"I Don't Want to Spend Money on my Teeth; It is Too Much!"

Venincasa Dental, saving money on teeth, Dallas dentist

Venincasa Dental, saving money on teeth, Dallas dentistYesterday, we were graced by the presence of a teacher in our office. She has been a patient for over 20 years. She has a very back molar which has had a tooth-colored crown for over 12 years. That crown partially broke due to the forces on her teeth, and she did not want to pay for another crown. She did not want to spend that much money on her tooth. However, the tooth was at risk of needing a root canal. The defect and decay were quite deep.
I can certainly understand her concern. I myself do not want to spend much money on much of anything unless I really want it. However, life happens. In this case, 12 years ago, I had recommended a gold crown to prevent this type of breakage, since I knew her mouth well. However, she did not want the gold crown then. She does not want another crown now. She asked for other options. After presenting the options for care, she decided to again obtain a tooth-colored crown, for which the materials are stronger now than they were 12 years ago.
This is not a unique or new occurrence. I understand how things are. However, I also understand how dental problems can grow.
Thankfully for me, I own this private dental practice. This kind of sole-ownership opportunity is trending down these days, and it may continue to trend down given the delivery of care environment we now have. For me, I do not have stockholders pressuring me to increase profits. I do not have managers of a dental service organization or retail organization pressuring me to achieve a monthly or daily production goal.
I have been honestly providing quality care at a value, with superb personal service, to our wonderful patients for over 30 years. We offer many ways for patients to pay, even over time. We are unique. We do care. We do save our patients much in the way of money and dental care. We invite you to call us for an appointment at our north Dallas office, at (972) 250-2580.
