Wisdom Teeth Extractions

Wisdom Teeth Extractions During Summer Break

wisdom teeth extractions pulled IV sedationAs we near the beginning of summer, many students are earning their summer breaks.  As many students are back home and have less in the way of commitments, it is a popular time to pursue wisdom teeth extractions if recommended.  These extractions are recommended for those who do not have adequate space in their mouths for these extra molars or for those whose wisdom teeth are growing in at an angle.  Experience and research indicate that the best time to have these extractions done is between the ages of 18-22.

We are very fortunate to have a working relationship with Dr. Bryan Moore.  Dr. Moore has limited his practice to the extraction of wisdom teeth within the offices of general dentists.  Within this working relationship, we assist patients with making their appointments, the extractions are done within our office, we manage all insurance and patient billing, and we perform the post-operative care.  In this way patients do not need to seek this service elsewhere.  We have been working with Dr. Moore for over five years.  Patients value the ability to have this service done “in-house” and they value the option of IV sedation.  Of course nitrous oxide gas is also available.  We do work hard to create a nice experience for our valued patients.

If you are interested in an evaluation to determine if wisdom teeth are recommended for extraction or if you are interested in pursuing recommended extractions, we invite you to call to make an appointment.  Please call us at (972) 250-2580.

Do My Wisdom Teeth Need to be Extracted?

Dallas dentist Plano Richardson Addison wisdom teeth extraction impactedIt is true that not all wisdom teeth require extraction.  However, it is also true that most wisdom teeth do require it.  Most patients mouths are not large enough to accomodate the wisdom teeth, the third molars.  In the event that there is not enough room, the wisdom teeth may grow in part-way.  This sets up the potential for periodic gum infections or decay.  In other cases, the wisdom teeth grow in at an angle.  In these cases the same problems can occur.  In addition, many orthodontists require that the wisdom teeth be removed prior to their patient’s appliances being removed, or soon after they are removed.  These orthodontists have concerns that the wisdom teeth may cause the other teeth to shift.

Moore provides these services for us within our office.  He has a dental practice limited primarily to the extraction of wisdom teeth within other dental practices.  Dr. Moore is well-trained and experienced in these extractions, in providing IV sedation, as well as in providing professional personal care for our patients.  Many of our patients have been very pleased with Dr. Moore working within our office.  We feel confident that you or your referrals into our practice will feel the same way.  If you are interested in finding out more about our wisdom teeth evaluation and/or extraction services, we invite you to give us a call.
